Let's start with Kimchi Land

Well, the essential stuff you really need while traveling in Seoul is to have a decent guidebook and a a map. I was lucky enough to bunk in with my friend who was staying in Westin Chosun Hotel. It's a typical good 5 star hotel that is located in Cityhall. It's just 100 m away from Myeongdong, the main shopping area. Well, I'll write you a list of what to get when we get to the shopping part.

So Kimchi land, what's there to do? Well I enjoyed the time when I just look at the map and start walking or taking the subway to the various tourist attractions. With my Canon 450D DSLR camera, I was keen to take scenery shots. Autumn is the season right now and I simply went crazy trying to snap pictures of autumn leaves.

I managed to take quite a few good ones! Haha.

So let's get acquainted with the local delicacies.

Korean style Sushi, filled with sweet fillings. Kimchi Chagae (Soup) that's usually served with
loads of side dishes!

Korea style tea in a traditional tea house, Insadong

Expensive vege set meal , really interesting leaves

Porridge, but I prefer the usual Chinese congee :)

Korean food is marked by the spicy characteristic. In additional to that, meat is of the lesser emphasis and interesting types of veges are served with different spice as side dishes. Hence it is very possible to eat loads of rice with the yummy addictive side dishes (if you can take spicy food). It is definitely not a big problem for a Singaporean like me who is accustomed to spicy food. My Korean friend is quite impressed with my intake of kimchi and various types of spicy indulgence. I told her that the spicy taste is pretty interesting and it isn't th

Okay enough of food. Next episode, sights of the pretty cities with really nice trees planted along the road, that really reminds me of Singapore. Well we can't take pretty trees for granted as I been to a couple of cities that do not have nice trees along the road. Hence that explains the unbearable summer sometimes. :)
